Welcome to MayHill, our home.

MayHill is the home of two inspired and soulful artists, Washington husband and wife, Bruce and Karen Erdmann. Read more about each of their artistic endeavors under Our Studio.

The peaceful setting we call home provides a living studio for creativity throughout the year. In the spirit of each season, We engage in arts and crafts that use the natural resources on the property. Bamboo is plentiful and is used for garden structures, fencing, small crafts and food for the animals.

The forest gives us mosses and ferns, which we sometimes use for arts and home crafts. Other plants, berries, and blossoms are used to make pigments for the various mixed media paintings created by Bruce and Karen.

The blackberries are prolific and provide us with opportunities for late summer treats. The garden gives us year around nutritious meals. Our animals give us eggs and wool. And we return our bounty by maintaining MayHill as a safe haven for animals and plants. We use no pesticides, herbicides or other toxic chemicals anywhere on our property. All who reside here, reside in natural balance.

From Valentines Day to Christmas, MayHill celebrates the season with decorations in the spirit of good fun and Earth Love. And the barn is ready to open its doors and invite celebrations that honor the artist in all.
